Mango Salsa

Once you start making homemade salsa you will never want to buy store-bought again!  Salsas are very easy to make at home, and very hard to mess up.  I made this salsa to go with my Fish Tacos so I wanted them to have a tropical bite which is why I made mango.  Pineapple would also be good, experiment and let me know what you like!  I also love that farmer’s market season is coming up, you can go to the market get some fresh tomatoes, and any veggies that you like, come home and make a beautiful, refreshing salsa.  No preservatives, or extra junk needed.  A good salsa is all about good quality, organic vegetables.  So experiment with it and have fun!


  • 1 mango cubed
  • 2 medium tomatoes chopped
  • 1/4 jalapeno pepper(seeds removed and chopped)
  • 1/4 onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation: Mix all ingredients in to a bowl and serve.  If you have time put the salsa in the refrigerator to let the flavors marinade.  Salsa will be good for four days stored in the refrigerator and in an airtight container.
